wii is fun! September 17, 2007

think back abt why gaming never really took off with females? gaming has this image of violence and ego that is just not female. unlike wii. packaged as a sports-centric game with a mix of genre of games makes it easy for females to catch on. though it ain’t that good for the wrist, it’s actually pretty fun. tennis is fun and i wanna try golf soon too.

it’s been a while since i actually played games (games that do not involve some form of ‘gambling’ since i’m not a big fan of them). it was really fun. just make sure u’re not up against some male gamer.. haha.. but at least wii allows you to play 1 vs 3 etc which increases the flexibility and the chances of 3 females winning the experienced male gamer.

life’s been really hectic and i am suffering from bouts of flu which comes and goes as it pleases. work and learning spanish has been taking up most time especially with my upcoming tax exam this fri.  am amazed to meet some really cool people, old classmates and new acquaintances along the way. i’m also glad to finish my first 10k Shape run which is pretty good. am looking forward to more runs in the future and eventually to complete a marathon. i just gotta take care of my knees as such. there’s the first frat party in NUS coming up this friday too. frat parties are seriously wild back in Stanford so i’m not too sure how wild it can get in NUS. somehow, the setting in a fraternity house makes a difference too and the extent they go to do up the decos, lights, music etc is amazing. of coz, u have the young undergrad crowd that are just out to have fun in their elaborate costumes.

nevertheless, we are moving forward already. was pretty stressed recently but i’m slowly learning to keep up with everything. =) also interesting to hear the general public feedback on the work you do. ultimately, our work is for the good of the people yeah? at least, i still believe in it and pray that it is not motivated by self-interests as some may say.
